Toronto, ON – 10- 04- 2016 The Canadian Council for Aboriginal business is extending the nominations deadline for the Lifetime Achievement Award and the National Youth Aboriginal Entrepreneur Award to November 4th, 2016.
Each year CCAB celebrates Aboriginal business accomplishment across the country. CCAB delivers awards that facilitate the growth of Aboriginal business, connect Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal business, and ensure life-long learning for Aboriginal entrepreneurs, and other Canadian business leaders. These efforts recognize the central role that Aboriginal businesses and communities hold in the future of Canada.
- Aboriginal Business Hall of Fame (ABHF): Lifetime Achievement Award – an award to an outstanding Aboriginal business person who demonstrates a lifetime of accomplishments through business leadership and a commitment to their communities. - Aboriginal Business Hall of Fame (ABHF): National Youth Aboriginal Entrepreneur Award– an award that recognizes an up-and-coming Aboriginal entrepreneur between the ages of 19 and 35. This reward comes with a cash prize of 10,000 dollars. Youth self-nominate by producing a 00:60 m/s video telling us why they should receive this award, they then download it for our viewing. Nomination Deadline November 4, 2016.
Celebrating Aboriginal business success from a lifetime of commitment to the excitement of young Aboriginal entrepreneurs is a message we want to convey to all Canadians as we do our part to fulfill recommendation 92 of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Recommendations. We believe in economic reconciliation that will level the playing field and build sustainable prosperity for our people.
