Canadian international merchandise trade, April 2019
Canada’s exports rose 1.3% in April, while imports decreased 1.4%. As a result, Canada’s merchandise trade deficit with the world narrowed from $2.3 billion in March to $966 million in April.
Farm product prices, April 2019
Prices received by farmers in April for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available at the provincial level.
Asphalt roofing material, April 2019
Shipments of asphalt shingles totalled 3.4 million metric bundles in April, down 14.0% from the previous month. In comparison with April 2018, shipments were 10.5% higher.
Canadian Energy Information Portal
Statistics Canada, in partnership with the National Energy Board, Natural Resources Canada, and Environment and Climate Change Canada, has launched the Canadian Energy Information Portal. This webpage provides Canadians with a single point of access to a wide variety of statistics and measures of the country’s energy sector. The portal offers an array of information on topics such as energy production, consumption, international trade, transportation and prices.
