Canada’s international transactions in securities, March 2018
Foreign investment in Canadian securities amounted to $6.1 billion in March, led by acquisitions of money market instruments. At the same time, Canadian investors reduced their holdings of foreign securities by $1.9 billion, the first divestment in four months.

Aircraft take-offs and landings at the 91 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations totalled 5.6 million movements in 2017, an increase of 1.7% compared with 2016.
Annual telecommunications statistics, 2016
In 2016, operating revenues for the telecommunications industry rose 1.0% over 2015 to $60.9 billion. At the same time, operating expenses increased 1.4% to $47.6 billion. As a result, the industry generated a 21.8% operating profit margin.

Stocks of frozen and chilled meats in cold storage totalled 150 219 tonnes as of April 1, 2018, up 22.3% from the same month a year earlier.
Asphalt roofing, March 2018
Shipments of asphalt shingles totalled 4.0 million metric bundles in March, up 23.2% from the previous month. Compared with March 2017, shipments were 5.2% lower.
