In 2018, there were 1,798 police-reported hate crimes in Canada, down 13% from the record-high of 2,073 incidents reported in 2017.

Canada welcomed 12.5 million international travellers in the third quarter, up 4.8% from the same quarter a year earlier. Just over three-quarters of all international travellers to Canada came from the United States. The third quarter of the year is typically the busiest for international travel to Canada.
Railway carloadings, December 2019
Canadian railways transported 32.4 million tonnes of freight in December, down slightly (-0.8%) from December 2018. This marked the fourth consecutive month of a year-over-year decline and the first decrease reported for the month of December in 10 years.

The total amount of milk sold off farms increased 1.3% year over year to 779 213 kilolitres in December. Meanwhile, milk sold off farms for fluid purposes decreased 0.4% to 236 223 kilolitres. Milk sold off farms for industrial purposes increased 2.1% year over year to 542 989 kilolitres.
