The FNPA Renewable Power Development & Industry Engagement 101 Session was a success!

FNPA was pleased to present the Renewable Power Development & Industry Engagement 101 Session. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Grey Eagle Resort in Tsuut’ina Nation, Alberta – Treaty 7 Territory.

The successful, one-day Session consisted of a breakout session to discuss key success factors for Community and Industry engagement, and a series of presentations on the Alberta Power System, Industry and Community engagement, the Alberta Government funding stream, community energy planning and project scoping and pre-feasibility assessment. The Session’s goals were to provide the fundamental knowledge Indigenous Communities need to identify their opportunities for utility and community scale renewable energy projects, and to provide an insight into developing working relationships between Industry and Indigenous Communities. (See Agenda Here)

The Session was well received, with approximately 150 attendees representing Indigenous Communities and Industry from across Canada.
