Release Date: November 3, 2009 – NationTalk speaks with Tracee Smith, the President of Outside Looking In. Tracee is a member of the Missanabie Cree First Nation and is trained in all forms of dance and has already begun work on year 2 of the Outside Looking In program.
Outside looking In was created to bridge the cultural gap between Canadians and indigenous people. Tracee along with other teachers and voluteers will rehearse with the youth of the Pikangikum First Nation community until this coming April. The selected youth will then travel to Toronto to perform live in front of an expectedly sold out audience April 22, 2009 at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts.
