What is the #HopePact?

The We Matter #HopePact is a pact that Indigenous youth across Canada can choose to take, uniting them in a national movement. It is a reminder that you are never alone in what you are feeling or experiencing.

By taking the #HopePact and wearing the #HopePact bracelet, you can feel like you are a part of something bigger than what you are experiencing. We are all connected!

By taking the #HopePact,
we are agreeing to have hope together.

I pledge to:

  1. Believe that no matter how hard life gets,
there is always a way forward
  2. Ask for help when I need it
  3. Honour the strength within me
  4. Show support and kindness to those around me

Join the #HopePact

Why the #HopePact?

There are many struggles that young people deal with in their schools, communities, and cities, whether it’s bullying, addiction, depression or suicide. Sometimes when we experience hard times, we feel like we are alone and that things are not going to get better for us. However, this is not true! We are never alone, we all experience struggles, and we all have the strength to overcome.

By uniting as Indigenous youth in the name of hope, we become so much #StrongerTogether

How do I take the #HopePact?

To take the #HopePact, you have to agree to 4 things. These things seem simple, but they can be hard to do sometimes. By taking the pact, you are making a shared promise with other Indigenous youth everywhere. We know you can do it, we believe in you.
