Western Indian Art Show Premiers in Calgary – November 23-25, 2007

Moonstone Creation’s Yvonne Jobin presents the Western Indian Art Show from Friday, November 23 to Sunday, November 25 at the H4 building of the Currie Barracks in Calgary Alberta.
This action packed three day event is a celebration of Aboriginal art and culture. “We have some of the top artists from Western Canada coming” says show organizer and artist, Yvonne Jobin. “It’s a venue for both established and emerging artists to showcase their art.”Over 20 artists including Jane Ash-Poitras, Audrey Nanimahoo, Jeff McDougall, and Ernie Scoles will be attending. Authentic Native arts will consist of unique paintings, jewelry, beadwork, Native clothing, sculpture, carvings and much more.
The art shows opening night, Friday November 23 at 5 pm will start with a traditional welcome and opening prayer followed by original dance and music. The weekend will be host to renowned artists from throughout the west.
This promises to be an exciting and visually stimulating weekend for all ages. This multicultural event will appeal to everyone and anyone interested in Aboriginal arts and culture.
