Weekly sessions of the YAS Summer Basketball School will start July 7 – 11 and continue throughout July and August in Regina and Saskatoon. Additional sessions will be held at Witcheken Lake Cree First Nation near Spiritwood and Whitecap Dakota Sioux First Nation just south of Saskatoon.The tuition fees (tax deductible) for a weekly session at range from $80.00 to $190.00 depending on the age level of the boy or girl who joins.
YAS age ranges are 8 – 12 and 13 – 16.
YAS has separate sessions and groupings for boys and girls of all levels of athletic ability and playing experience, from novice to fundamentals to developing to advanced to budding high school starter.
In order to properly celebrate the important National days that illustrate the complementary status Canada’s two founding cultures – First Nation and European – YAS will permit any youths to enroll in a session of YAS FREE starting on National Aboriginal Day (June 21st) until Canada Day (July 1st).
This chance to learn and develop basketball skills at Canada’s leading basketball school applies to
all Youth – First Nation, Inuit, Métis, and Non-Aboriginal alike. The only two conditions are:
a) they must neither be registered in nor plan to register in any other summer sports camp or
school other than YAS during July or August.
b) they must contact the YAS office at 242 – 2425 in Saskatoon or 585 – 2020 in Regina no
later than July 1st at 8:00 pm to pre-register.
