Wanted: Aboriginal Youth to attend Dreamspeakers “Youth Day Celebrations” a fantastic and innovative one-day celebration in “The Craft and Magic of Making Movies!”“In the heart of downtown Edmonton, at the Stanley A. Milner Library, as part of the 2008 Annual Dreamspeakers International Aboriginal Film and Television Festival, Thursday, June 5th – will mark the return of Dreamspeakers Youth Day celebrations. This important and innovative event will feature entertaining and informative sessions that will encourage, enlighten, inspire, and introduce Aboriginal Youth to the art and craft of filmmaking. We are already hard at work planning an outstanding and exiting lineup of events that include student and professional films, movie making workshops, music performances and inspiring role model guests and speakers. Participating youth will also have the opportunity to meet and greet some of Aboriginal world’s greatest stars and talented people. We here at Dreamspeakers are highly committed to helping further the advancement of Aboriginal People interested in working in the television and film industry,” says William Belcourt, Dreamspeakers Program Director.
