Join us for the 26th Anniversary Martin Luther King Celebration: Bigger and Better! on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 6:30 PM, at the Canada Event Centre on the campus of Canada Christian College. This unforgettable event celebrates the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., bringing together our community to honor his vision of equality, justice, and unity. Proceeds going towards educational opportunities for BIPOC Youth.

Experience a dynamic program featuring keynote speaker Dr. Trevor Kinlock (USA) professor at Howard University and President of Allegheny East Conference and honored guest speaker Dr. Johnny Mack, Director of International Relations for Al Sharpon and previous Executive Director Martin Luther King Jr, Centre for Non-Violent Social Change, USA. Their contributions to peacebuilding, conflict resolution and human development have profoundly influenced global dialogues on equity and justice. Powerful performances by the celebrated Sharon Riley and Faith Chorale, Ray Robinson, Felix Brothers, Next Gen Community Choir, Dale Brown & Tru, Adelfiha Academy, Felix Brothers, AC Signing Hands Kids, Crawford Academy Choir & Band, CAA East Ensemble, and more. Be inspired by award-winning poet Canute Lawrence “Pathology of a Pandemic” and the Children and Youth Dance Theatre.

The event highlights:

  • Honoring changemakers and community champions advancing equity and diversity.
  • Celebrating BIPOC youth who demontrate the attributes of Martin Luther King while engaging with forward-thinking initiatives like the green economy.
  • Addressing systemic issues, including anti-Black racism, constructively and inclusively.

Celebrate Dr. King’s legacy of nonviolence, strategy, and unity, and join us in inspiring action for social justice and sustainable change. Don’t miss this day of inspiration, unity, and empowerment!
