Each workshop begins with a short presentation of works and archives, followed by a creative activity facilitated by a local artist. All equipment is provided. Beginners are welcome!

This month
In January, learn the art of collage, a practice full of fun and surreal possibilities! Note that participants may handle a retractable utility knife during the workshop. During this workshop, artist Rebecca Clouâtre will guide you in the creation of your artwork.

About the artist

Rebecca Clouâtre is a collage artist based in Ottawa, Canada. In 2020, CBC Arts released a Paper Cuts documentary film about her artistic process. WKP Kennedy Gallery in North Bay, ON hosted Maternal Collections, her first major solo exhibition in the spring of 2023. Through her work, Clouâtre hopes to encourage viewers to contemplate the intricacies of nature and our complex relationships with the environment while exploring themes of human connection, motherhood, and feminism.

This event is in english. A workshop will be offered in French on Friday, January 24, 2025. Sign up for the workshop in French here.
