CAMSC’s Awards ceremony shares the extraordinary stories of our network members and recognizes them with top honours in seven different Award categories.

This year, our theme is Pivot | Progress| Prosper to acknowledge the continued resilience of our network members during the pandemic. We also look to celebrate members’ sales growth, innovative solutions, employment opportunities and community development. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn and to be inspired!

Join the CAMSC Awards and be a part of the festive atmosphere from the comfort of your couch…no admission fees for this awards show!

Sip on your favourite wine or cocktail and glam up.  You can share in our Awards on Tuesday, October 5th, to hear the extraordinary stories of our nominees and find out who will take home top honour in each category.

AWARDS CATEGORY DESCRIPTION

Supplier of the Year Award

An Aboriginal or Minority-owned business that has successfully demonstrated growth in sales and employment, consistently providing high quality products and services at competitive pricing, offering innovative solutions and delivering significant benefits to their community through growth and development. The Award recipient will also be offered a scholarship to participate in a Tuck MBE program sponsored by General Motors. (CAMSC Certified Supplier Only)

Small Business of the Year Award

An Aboriginal or Minority-owned business with 50 or fewer employees, based on exemplary overall performance in sales, export sales growth, customer relationships, innovation and major accomplishments during the previous year. The Award recipient will be offered a scholarship to participate in a Tuck MBE program sponsored by General Motors. (CAMSC Certified Supplier Only)

Technology Innovation Award

An Aboriginal or Minority-owned business that stands out for its innovative new technology-based product or service. The product will have outstanding performance in operations, design and market success contributing to Canada’s international reputation for innovation and excellence. (CAMSC Certified Supplier Only) 

Corporation of the Year Award

A corporation that actively includes certified Aboriginal and Minority-owned suppliers in their procurement opportunities, continuously explores and assists in the development of Aboriginal and Minority-owned suppliers, promotes supplier diversity and business development within their corporation and with their vendors, including other business organizations.  A corporation must be nominated by a supplier.

Tier 1 Champion of Supplier Diversity

A business-to-business Tier 1 corporation that actively supports its clients’ economic inclusion goals by including certified Aboriginal and Minority-owned suppliers in their practices and processes providing procurement opportunities. They have encouraged the development of Aboriginal and Minority-owned suppliers, actively promoting supplier diversity throughout their corporation. Must be nominated by a corporate or government client.

Procurement Business Advocate of the Year Award

An individual who acts as a catalyst, advocate and leader who is devoted to the promotion of supplier diversity through outreach efforts and activities and is respected by their peers for advocating supplier diversity in Canada.

Collaboration Award

A company/organization working collaboratively with CAMSC members, suppliers and other organizations to strengthen Aboriginal and Minority-owned business growth and to facilitate supplier diversity.

Two awarded recipients – Supplier of the Year and Small Business of the Year – will get a scholarship to an MBE program at an Ivy League research university in Hanover, New Hampshire. Click Here to learn more about the program.
