Canada Homestay Network and UCDSB International Education Program staff would like to invite all CHN Hosts to bring their international students to the beautiful Alight at Night event at Upper Canada Village.

Bundle up for an evening stroll through this picture-perfect postcard setting! Over one million lights adorn the heritage buildings, trees, and fences of Upper Canada Village creating a one-of-a-kind magical backdrop for its annual Alight at Night Festival – a true winter wonderland!

Please Note the Following Before Registering:

1. This is an activity for Hosts to attend with their students. If possible, host families and students should plan to attend this event together. Note that there will not be chaperones or student supervision.

2. Each CHN family can receive up to a maximum of 4 free tickets per family (only for family members living in the same household which can include a non-CHN student) plus a ticket for your CHN student(s). If you have more than 4 in your family, those other family members or non-CHN students are highly encouraged to attend, however, hosts will have to buy the extra tickets (beyond the 4 free). If you would like to purchase extra tickets for your family or non-CHN student, a ticket can be purchased with a $10 donation to the Healthy Eating for Better Learning Student Nutrition Program. Donations will be accepted in cash at the door of the event.

3. Please ensure you can attend before registering. Money is being spent on tickets for you – this event is not inexpensive. If you register then discover you cannot attend, please notify us at trips@uclc.ca by no later than Thursday, Dec. 4th at 4pm so we can cancel your purchased tickets.

4. There are buses available (seats are first come, first served) for transportation to Upper Canada Village. Please carefully select your route in the registration, if you need transportation.
