Date: Thursday, June 5
Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, University of Manitoba
Join Manitoba Advising Professionals for a powerful afternoon of learning and reflection at the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR), located on the University of Manitoba campus.
Our afternoon together will include a guided visit to the NCTR gallery space and a presentation exploring allyship and ReconciliACTION. We gather to reflect on the roles we hold as advisors working within systems shaped by colonialism, and what it means to move from awareness to meaningful action in support of Indigenous students and communities.
Our afternoon will conclude with a session on Trauma-Informed Education, led by Ginger Arnold (Instructor, Social Innovation & Community Development, RRC Polytech), offering practical insight into supportive, relational approaches to working with students affected by trauma.
This event is free for current MAP members.
