Human Resources Management Essentials: Module 1 – Professional Practice
Module 1 provides an overview of the professional practice of Human Resources Management which contributes to the success of the organization. This workshop covers the following topics: working in Indigenous environments; developing an environment that fosters effective working relationships; ethical practices; managing human resources contractors and specialists; managing client relationships; legal and legislative requirements relevant to human resources functions; and governance and compliance with legal requirements.
To register online:1) If you are an AFOA Canada member or have attended an AFOA Canada event, sign in to your account from the menu at the right.  Once you are signed in, follow the instructions to fill in your registration information and submit to complete your registration.

2) If you do not have an account, you can create one from the link located at the bottom of the menu at the right.  Once you are signed in, follow the instructions to fill in your registration information and submit to complete your registration.

3) After you have submitted your online registration, you will receive an email confirming your registration.  If you have not received your confirmation, please check your junk box.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation of registration must be sent by email to [email protected]. Cancellations will be accepted until December 17, 2021 for a full refund. A $300 fee will apply for cancellations received between December 18, 2021 and January 2, 2022.  No refund for cancellations received on or after January 3, 2022 and no refund for no-shows at the workshop. Substitutions are accepted at any time and will be required to pay the fee difference if necessary.
