The Human Rights Program of United College at the University of Waterloo, in collaboration with Shatitsirótha’ Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre and the Office of Indigenous Relations, invites you to the two following events on Wednesday, January 29, 2025:

Transitional Justice and Human Rights: A Dialogue between Colombia and Canada

Prof. Bernard Duhaime, United Nations Special Rapporteur on Truth, Justice and Reparation and Professor of Law at the UQAM.
Prof. Luis C. Sotelo Castro, Ph.D. in Performance Studies, Director of the Acts of Listening Lab at Concordia University, and Visiting Associate Professor of Humanities at United College, University of Waterloo.

Event 2 – from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. (a snack will be provided):
Yintah: Wet’suwet’en women leading the defence of dignity, territory and rights
After the screening of the Yintah documentary (R), there will be a conversation with Dr. Karla Tait, one of the protagonists featured in the documentary. Moderator: Dr. Nancy R. Tapias Torrado, Assistant Professor of Human Rights at United College, University of Waterloo.
There will also be the opportunity to sign a human rights action in support of the Wet’suwet’en.
