About this event
- Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes
Join filmmakers Nova Ami and Velcrow Ripper, and the National Film Board of Canada for a special community screening of INCANDESCENCE, a new feature documentary following the Okanagan wildfires and community.
Following the rhythms of the seasons, the film features on-the-ground footage from the region while honouring extraordinary first-person accounts from Indigenous Elders, first responders, and ordinary people on the frontlines. From the ashes, a collective and resilient approach to our future emerges.
Stay after the screening for a Q&A with filmmakers, moderated by Anita Jacobsen.
Support persons will be available during and after the film for those who may need it.
Doors Open: 5:30 PM
Screening + Q&A : 6:00 PM
Tickets are free, first-come first-served. Reservation required.
