Join Indigenous Storyteller, Jim Adams, for a highly interactive program about Indigenous summer star stories. These stories often feature constellations like the Big Dipper (seen as a bear or fisher) and the Little Bear (seen as a loon), with tales of brave animals, celestial journeys, and the importance of respecting the natural world. This program will feature Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabek, Ojibwe, and Cree star stories about each of the animals found in the star paintings shared. Each participant will also receive copies of the star charts that they can colour or keep as a reference tool.

This highly interactive, all ages program will feature Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabek, and Ojibwe stories of the Big Dipper (Ursa Major), as well as Cree stories about Orion. Each participant will receive copies of the star charts that they can colour (crayons provided) or keep as a reference tool.
All of the constellations will be projected on to the walls or the ceiling of the meeting room at the same time as Indigenous story teller Jim Adams, shares stories about each of the animals found in the star paintings.
