Indigenous Edible Plant Workshop

Do you want to learn more about local wildlife? Want to know more about the tasty and nutritious Indigenous edible plants that grow in our neighborhoods? Well, we have a workshop for you.

The New Westminster Farmer’s Market is hosting an Indigenous Edible Plant workshop with Metis Herbalist and Expert Lori Snyder on Thursday, July 25 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Tipperary park. In this workshop, each participant will have the chance to learn the identification techniques of the different indigenous plants within BC that are edible. If you’re someone who wants to learn more about foraging, or appreciating the flora of BC, this workshop is a great place to start!

Ticket costs cover the price of the 2 hour session with Lori, with all proceeds supporting the market and the free and heavily subsized programming we offer! Content is suitable for adults and youths. Children 13 and below must attend with parental supervision.

As chairs will be reserved for those with greater accessibility needs, please try to bring a blanket or surface to sit on.
