The Medicine Wheel is an addictions support group that places Indigenous cultures and traditions at its core while utilizing a client-centered strength-based approach to healing. The format of each meeting is a guided discussion with a weekly topic.The program facilitates the rebuilding of First Nations identity by providing the resources for clients to learn about their cultures and traditions as a way of life. This reaffirming of cultural identity assists clients on their lifelong wellness journey.
