Apply Now: Indigenous Financial Management Apprenticeship Program

This is a 24-month initiative developed in collaboration with AFOA Canada, Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC), and Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS). It is designed to blend education and hands-on experience to empower Indigenous individuals interested in finance.

Apprentices will develop essential financial skills through on-the-job experience within federal departments. They will also complete post-secondary education through AFOA Canada’s Indigenous Financial Management Certificate program, in partnership with Simon Fraser University, and receive ongoing support and mentorship from financial professionals.

This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive understanding in key areas of finance, communication, management and Indigenous business law, equipping apprentices with the knowledge and experience needed to excel in their careers.
