Serving the justice sector, the Corporate Management Services Branch (CMSB) strives to provide excellence in corporate services of both the Ministry of Attorney General and the Ministry of Public Safety & Solicitor General. CMSB provides central corporate services to all staff and branches/programs in the sector.
The position is responsible for managing the risk to which the Ministries are exposed by virtue of its employees, assets, programs and operations, and includes responsibility for loss control, risk identification and transfer, including programs such as Health and Safety (OHS), security, business continuity, and risk management.
The position’s key roles are coordinating and providing expert advice to executive and other staff on safety, security, and risk management and Occupational Health and Safety initiatives, security issues, and vulnerabilities arising from general operations and/or special projects; training and educating managers and staff on risk management, and Health and Safety strategies, policies and procedures; assisting managers and staff in implementing risk management and Health and Safety programs, projects, and activities.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Post-secondary education and/or professional accreditation(s) related to Security Management or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- 5 or more years of progressive experience that includes investigation, or responsibility for the assessment and management of physical or personnel-based risk issues.
- One or more security related professional accreditations or designations, e.g. American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), or law enforcement certifications ex threat specialists.
- Experience in more than one of the following; physical or operational security, critical infrastructure, threat assessment, or investigations.
