Nikoniko Home Care provides professional care giving services that enable clients to remain independent in their own home.

We are currently looking for compassionate caregivers (5 positions) who are able to travel to multiple locations throughout the lower mainland. (Burnaby /Coquitlam/ Langley/North

Vancouver/ Richmond /Surrey)

Job Description

• Perform tasks described in the individual Care Plan such as personal care (bathing, feeding, dressing, medication reminders), meal preparations and light housekeeping duties (laundry, bed making)
• Provide companionship, accompany errands (grocery shopping, appointments) and assist in regular exercise
• Observe changes in clients condition and report to supervisor and family members
• Respond to emergencies, safety concerns and incidents according to protocol
• Perform administrative tasks such as documenting activity and reporting work hours in online system

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 months experience as a caregiver
• Understanding of best practice dealing with infection control and fall prevention
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Ability to speak basic Japanese is not mandatory but an asset
• Available to work in evenings and weekends
• Experience with persons with limited mobility or dementia an asset

Security and Safety

• Must be willing to provide criminal record check/vulnerable sector check

Terms and conditions

• $20.00 per hour
• 15-30 hours a week (Part time or Full time)
• Transportation subsidize (car/public transportation) for full time (30 hours) employees
• Permanent position
