Position Summary

Interior Health have an exciting new opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist for the Trauma Program at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, B.C.

This position is responsible for providing psychological services, including assessment, individual and group therapy, treatment planning and behaviour management interventions for persons who have experienced physical trauma. This is a new position in a new program and offers a great opportunity to work innovatively and collaboratively as a team in supporting clients and each other. In addition to direct service provision, the Clinical Psychologist contributes to ongoing quality improvement, program development, evaluation, and research. The position supports a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to service delivery within the continuum of Allied Health services.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Psychology or equivalent from a university or school recognized by the College of Psychologists’ of British Columbia, with an approved pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology.
Current registration with the College of Psychologists’ of British Columbia (or eligible for registration).
Five years recent related experience in clinical psychology in the assigned clinical practice area(s).
