Job Description
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion and review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Manage, prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules
- Draft contracts and agreements and negotiate changes and alterations with various parties’ architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Design and execute quality control programs
- Being their company’s representative on various matters like union contract negotiations and corporate services
- Coordinate the purchase of building materials and acquisition of land
- Assist with estimation on projects
- Draft and present client progress schedule reports
- Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes
- Supervise the project to ensure that it is progressing as expected, report its status to the client on a regular basis
- Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff
- Assist with bidding and estimation on new projects where required
- Prepare Project Scheduler in satisfying labor needs of the projects
- Estimate, prepare, and refine project budgets
- Acquire and estimate contract bids from various parties such as suppliers and subcontractors
- Inquire for purchase orders
- Prepare and manage project documentation
- Draft and maintain health and safety policies to site superintendent and foremen
- Cooperate with Purchasing Coordinator to ensure appropriate prices for suppliers and subcontractors
- Draft and supply start up notices
University degree or a college diploma in construction technology.
Extensive experience in the construction industry may substitute for post-secondary education requirements.
Experience requirements: Min. 3 years of experience in construction industry, management experience
