Position: Construction Painter (NOC-7294)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Wage Rate: $25 per hour for 40 hours per week.

Anticipated Start Date:  As soon as possible

Education: Completion of Secondary School

Experience: 2 to 3 year of relevant experience.

Language: English

Location of Work: Various locations according to company contracts.

Job Duties:

• Read specifications and blueprints to determine layout and calculate requirements.
• Smooth and shape surfaces using sand paper
• Assist and advise clients to select the color schemes and wall coverings.
• Assess proper thickness and texture of paint and other materials.
• Apply paint or other material such as enamel, oil, fibreglass, metal coating or fire retardant using brushes, rollers or spray equipment.
• Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls.
• Take away loose paint and old wallpapers.
• Repair cracks and holes in walls and apply sealer.
• Paint interior and exterior walls using ladder.
• May provide cost estimates to clients.

Work Environment/Conditions: Outside, Inside, Heat, Sun, Rain, Cold. Depending on the work requirements, the candidates will be expected to work in the up listed working environment.

Work Setting: The candidates should be available to work outdoors full-time in the day or evening or on weekend if required.

Physical Capabilities: Large workload, physically demanding, Tight deadlines, Bending, crouching, Kneeling.
