Position: Custodian

Term: Permanent Part-Time, 11-month position (August – June)

Department: Standing Stone School

Salary: $17.00 – $18.00/hour to start

Hours: 30 hours/week, Monday – Friday, work hours to be scheduled by the Principal, must be able to work evenings and some weekends

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Standing Stone School Principal or designate, the Custodian is responsible for all cleaning aspects of the facility, in accordance with established procedures and following the Custodian Work Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Previous employment experience in a custodian capacity;
2. Janitorial training certificate OR willingness to obtain;
3. Ability to perform custodial tasks (lifting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming and operating equipment).

REQUIREMENTS:

1. The successful candidate must submit a current VS-CPIC, at own expense, prior to starting employment;
