Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and diverse Relief Part Time Dietitian to join the Outpatient and Healthy Heart Program Team in Cranbrook BC.

Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Clinical Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, self management, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health.

This Relief Part Time position works Monday 8 – 12:45 ( 4.5 hrs); Wednesday and Thursday 8:00 – 16:00 and ends on April 20, 2022 or upon the return of incumbent. This position works 39 hours bi-weekly.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:
• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
• Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
• Two year’s of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience suitable to the facility or program is required.
• Diabetes experience/training and CDE as asset
• Valid BC Driver’s License.
