Annual Salary: $157,000 CAD

Job Summary:

The Director of Product Management is responsible for leading the development of our product vision and product planning process. They will play a crucial role in leading product standardisation, overseeing future product initiatives and driving significant benefits across the company. The Director of Product Management will report directly to the CEO of Searidge Technologies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership and business development/product management/sales management experience within the Air Traffic Management (ATM) industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing Searidge’s product strategy, vision, and roadmap and providing updates to the CEO and Executive Team;
  • Set out the internal end-to-end Product Vision, Strategy, Product Roadmap, business processes, and product positioning;
  • Delegate resources and personnel within the Product Management operations;
  • Oversee the development, execution and upkeep of a product lifecycle in alignment with Searidge’s company strategy and internal/external stakeholder expectations;
  • Review and approve the release of technical compliance product sheets (referencing EUROCAE ED240A and ED109 MASPS) for use in business development and pre-tender specifications;
  • Assess and approve innovative technologies and strategic third-party suppliers within our product strategy and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and senior-level staff members to enhance Searidge’s overall product strategy as well as optimize the cost and performance of product solutions;
  • Gather market intelligence and evaluate Searidge’s product offerings in comparison with competition offerings;
  • Identify important client concerns/needs and incorporate these findings into our product strategy and vision;
  • Explore new business opportunities with current and prospective clients based on their present and future market needs;
  • Create promotional materials (i.e. white paper brochures, product sheets, user case stories, product information, etc.) and conduct presentations to prospective clients;
  • Represent Searidge at conferences, meetings, and negotiations with clients and suppliers;
  • Attend and participate in company budget meetings with other senior-level staff members;
  • Manage the company budget and expenditures related to the Product Management operations;
  • Recruit, train and evaluate Searidge staff and managers for the Product Management teams; and
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Skills Requirements:

  • Must have completed Post- secondary studies in business administration, business management, commerce, marketing/sales, or in a related field of studies
  • At least five (5) years of management-level work experience within the ATM industry is required;
  • At least five (5) years of experience in product management, business development, or marketing/sales activities in the ATM industry is required;
  • Must have a deep understanding of the commercial benefits of productization, combined with a flair for document creation and the ability to support and drive teams to understand the vision for the products;
  • Must have a good understanding of flight and airport operations, procedures and requirements;
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of the economic considerations related to ATM / ATS service provision and business models;
  • Must have the ability to travel internationally;
  • Must have outstanding presentation and communication skills with the ability to transmit messages effectively and concisely; and
  • Previous qualification as an ATCO or ATSEP would be an asset.
