JOB SUMMARY: The Executive Assistant reports to and works under the direction of the Senior Administrative Officer (SAO). The Executive Assistant to the SAO assists in the efficiency and effectiveness of the office of the SAO in managing the Six Nations Council administration and business affairs in a professional manner.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Office Administrative – Executive AND have 3-5 years’ of executive assistant experience, OR
  • Grade 12 diploma or GED AND have 8-10 years’ of executive assistant experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in public relations and/or dealing with the public
  • Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills
  • Proven administrative, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to read and understand legal and other agreements
  • Project Management certification or experience a bonus
  • Diplomatic and sensitive to the concerns of the community
  • Excellent computer skills and demonstrated proficiency in current business and software
  • Ability to work independently and as a strong team player
  • Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions and implement solutions
  • Ability to pass a reliability/security check
  • Must be bondable and sign confidentiality form
  • Knowledge of Six Nations history, culture and people
