This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Facility Continuous Improvement Lead will oversee day to day continuous improvement portfolio activities across multiple sites and locations. In this role, you will provide guidance and direction to develop, implement and sustain process improvement initiatives. You will also conduct continuous improvement activities with medium project cost and risk and activities with moderate ambiguity.

Key Accountabilities

  • Communicate with business leaders to provide updates on the project objectives, performance measures, issues and risks.
  • Supervise a team that will identify, monitor and implement continuous improvement best practices.
  • Develop and manage continuous improvement plans for projects with low cost and risk to reach and sustain project goals.
  • Oversee and direct a team to conduct organization readiness assessments, value realization, opportunity prioritization and resource evaluation and execute on continuous improvement strategies to meet business needs.
  • Utilize data to determine opportunities to improve.
  • Create and manage data visualization within the facility.
  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma/certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Six sigma lean manufacturing certification (green belt or higher)
  • Power BI experience
  • Expert Excel level skills
  • Previous experience facilitating problem solving events
