Job description:

• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies
• Ensure food service and quality control
• Prepare food order summaries for chef
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns
• May plan cafeteria menus and determine related food costs
• May help serving and cleaning, if needed

Requirements:

– Education: Completion of high school is required.

– Experience: At least 2 years of experience in food preparation or service is required. If the candidate does not have 2 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or a related discipline is required.

– Ability to supervise 8 people

– Language: English is required

– Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail, Overtime is required.

– Personal Suitability: Team player, Effective interpersonal skills, Excellent oral and written communication, Client focus, Organized, Initiative, Accurate

Salary: $17.00 – $19.00 hourly. 30-48 hours per week.

Important information:

Flexibility on schedule is required. The schedule is from Tuesday through Sunday from 11h00 am to 7h30 pm. Mondays and rainy days off. 30 hours guaranteed during winter. Overtime will be required according to the business needs.
