WAGES
$17.50/hour for 35 – 40 hours a week. Overtime applicable after 40 hours a week.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Permanent, Full time, Part Time
  • Availability to work in a variety of shifts and at weekends

SPECIFIC SKILLS

  • Create shift schedule effectively including work-station assignments/rotations, employee vacations, employee breaks and overtime assignment
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of the front and kitchen staff
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Daily reporting of sales figures at the end of the day to the higher management
  • Deal with complaints should they arise. Should any out of the ordinary complaints or issues arise, immediately report to the restaurant manager and the owner
  • Record inventory, order new supplies and maintain records of sales, miscellaneous expenses, and wastage
  • Ensure proper training of staff members at different stations according to their job position and company standards and review their performance
  • Assist in selection of food service staff and development of budgets
  • Other duties as assigned by restaurant manager

EDUCATION
Completion of secondary school

EXPERIENCE
Completion of college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline
OR
1-2 years’ experience in food preparation or service are required
