Salary: $16.00 – $18.00/ Hour for 35 to 40 Hours / Week

Employment conditions: Morning, day, evening, weekend, shift, holiday days

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate/ Completion of the Smart Serve certification course prior to the first day of work

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food preparation or service are required

Ability to Supervise: 11-15 people

Workers supervised: Food service counter attendants and food preparers, Kitchen and food service helpers

Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills, team player, client focus, flexibility, excellent oral communication

Specific Skills: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, and those who serve and handle alcohol; Estimate and order ingredients and supplies; Ensure food service and quality control; Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage; Prepare food order summaries; Prepare and submit reports; Supervise and check assembly of food orders; Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres; Supervise and check the food deliveries; Establish work schedules.

Additional Skills: Establish methods to meet work schedules; Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures; Hire food service staff; Address customers’ complaints or concerns; May perform same duties as those supervised.
