Position Summary

Interior Health is hiring a Co-op IMIT Student to assist the IMIT Patient Scheduling team. This position is based out of Kelowna. This opportunity is available from approximately January to May 2022.

What will you work on?

The Student will be supporting core technology initiatives within Interior Health Authority. This positions works with members of the IMIT Patient Scheduling team and will liaise as appropriate with IHA IMIT employees to complete their assigned duties.

SOME TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist with project planning
2. Assist with system testing and configuration
3. Assist with data gathering and analysis and validation
4. Updating training documentation
5. Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

1. Currently enrolled in a recognized Computer Science diploma or degree program.
2. Valid Class 5 Drivers License

Skills and abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to deal with others effectively
Ability to organize work.
Applies the problem solving process demonstrating critical thinking, decision-making skills, and system analysis.
Ability to utilize equipment/computer technology.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
