People’s Transport Ltd is currently searching for 12 Long Haul Truck Drivers.

Location of Business: 3316 140Street, Surrey BC, V4P2A8, Canada.

Yard Address: 12742 King George Blvd, Surrey BC, V3V 3K5, Canada.

Employment Terms: Permanent, Full-time, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Wage: $27/hour for 50 hours per week.

Requirements:

• Completion of high school.
• Driver’s Licence Class 1 or A, Air brake Z Endorsement.
• Basic knowledge of English.
• Ability to lift heavy.
• Experience is an asset, on job training will be provided.

Job Duties:

• Operate Semi-trucks and trailers to transport goods and material.
• Observe loading and unloading of freight, and assist when required.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs such as installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.
• Communicate with the dispatch and inform them about any emergencies or incidents.
• Perform pre-trip inspection of the vehicle prior to trip and post-trip inspection upon return.
• Document all important details and fuel costs.
• Maintain an accurate log book.
• Drive as a part of two-person team when required.
• Obtain all documents required to travel internationally.
