Position Summary

We are currently seeking a relief part time (0.59 FTE) Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Parkview Place in Enderby. This relief is until November 15, 2021 or return of the incumbent.

The RN or RPN practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the RN or RPN ensures the delivery of resident–centered care by assisting individual residents and their families respond to changing health care needs. The RN or RPN demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Parkview Place is a complex care facility with 31 beds (30 residential complex care beds and 1 palliative bed) with private rooms in two wings. It is housed on the 2nd floor of the Community Health Centre. Our resident-centered philosophy is designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level and provide the best quality of life possible.

Shift types are days and shifts of work are days 11:30-18:00 hours.

Education, Training and Experience:

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Post – basic education in gerontology an asset.

**Previous experience in a long term care environment and experience of using the RAI tool would be preferred.

**This posting is for a position at a facility covered by the Provincial Health Officer’s Single Site Order and selected applicant(s) must comply with the requirement of the order.
