Position: Motel Manager

Wages: CAD$29.00/hour

Types: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: 30~40 hrs/week

Benefits: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Plan, manage, and evaluate overall motel’s daily operations
• Create, implement and update policies and procedures
• Maintain and monitor records of budgets, revenues, funds, and expenses.
• Perform financial activities including setting budget and room rates, and assigning funds to departments.
• Create and apply a marketing strategy to promote the motel
• Build relationship and negotiate with vendors on provisions of materials and suppliers
• Communicate with clients (customers) when appropriate (welcome them in the facilities, address their complaints, find solutions to problems, offer information etc.)
• Recruit, hire and oversee training

• Oversee all staff and set work schedules and shifts to ensure productivity
• Ensure compliance with health and safety rules.
• Monitor employee performance and conduct regular evaluations

Job Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school
• 2-3 years of experience in the accommodation industry
