Position Summary

Interior Health is seeking a dynamic Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team at the North Shore Health Sciences Clinic in Kamloops, B.C. This position is a one year term beginning mid January 2020.

Working autonomously and collaboratively with all members of the health team the NP will provide full scope primary health services to a growing roster of patients of all ages. You will join a team of 6 other NPs and 2 GPs to provide comprehensive all- ages primary health care services to over 7,000 patients in north Kamloops. Established in April of 2017, meeting the attributes of the patient medical home/primary care home is a goal of the clinic. To meet the access needs of the community, the clinic operates with extended hours and Saturdays.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner who ideally has experience working in Primary Care; brings great leadership, communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills; and is an effective team member. Qualifications

  • Current registration and exam-qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Successful completion of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
  • Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
