Job Duties
Manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures
Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various departments in the company
Work closely with GM and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Direct and control corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures within the establishment
Plan, administer and control budgets for contracts, equipment and supplies
Prepare reports and briefs for management committees evaluating administrative services
Ensure safe and efficient operations
Organize and manage sales, marketing, procurement, warehousing, HR, public relation, and other functional areas of the company
Plan and review compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
Enhance the operational procedure, systems and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting and looks for opportunities to expand systems
Review all financial statements for discrepancies before forwarding them to AP and AR departments
Interviewing, selection and hiring; training new and existing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; authoring and discussing with employees performance appraisals; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; employee motivation and rewards
Establish contracts and pricing and ensuring proper maintenance and serving as primary liaison with utilities and local government agencies, such as fire, police, health and safety agencies
Communicate customer issues with team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
Employment Requirements
Completion of College program or University degree is required
3-5 years of experience at a professional level in business administration, finance or administrative services are required. Out of these Two years’ experience as a Manager in an operational setting highly preferred
Excellent communication skills in English are required. Ability to communicate in Russian language to liaison between Orca procurement and Overseas fish suppliers will be an asset
Strong operational focus with the ability to act under pressure and provide creative solutions
A solid track record of leading change with a strong drive for results
Proven ability to work effectively with employee groups and build partnerships at all levels of the organization
Proven ability to implement performance management / discipline with direct reports
Proficiency in office software programs and applications such as MS Office suite, Google suite, mobile equipment and applications
Strong communication, client service and consulting skills
Strong leadership, presentation and persuasion skills
Places organizational success above individual gain
