Interior Health Physiotherapists works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services. We have an exciting permanent, full time opening at East Kootenay Regional Hospital. Hours of work are 08:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday, with weekends and stat holidays off.
What will you work on?
East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH) provides core medical and surgical specialty services to patients throughout its service area. In this position the Physiotherapist will primarily work with acute care clients, including general medical, ICU, acute orthopedics and Emergency Department patients as required.
How will you create impact?
The Physiotherapist will create impact by providing service to the clients within the community recovering from surgery and illness, including neurological conditions and critical illness.
How will we help you grow?
During your Physiotherapist career at EKRH you will always have access to other therapists and the Physiotherapy Professional Practice Leader to support your work. Orientation into the position will include site tour, staff introductions, and partnering with a senior therapist to assist in orientation to the Outpatient processes and the wards. The Clinical Orientation will depend on the candidate. When education opportunities arise you will have option to participate. Regular staff meetings and peer support are the norm.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a healthcare professional who is willing to be flexible and help out where needed. Keen to get more experience in other areas (e.g. ICU).
