Position Summary

Interior Health Physiotherapists work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team providing physiotherapy services and in guiding work direction to rehabilitation assistant(s). We have a permanent, part-time opening available within the Vernon Community Care Quick Response Team.

What will you work on?
As a member of the Quick Response Team responsibilities include triaging in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Emergency Department and supporting acute to community transitions. Schedule is as follows: Monday, Tuesday and alternating weekends (08:30 to 16:12 hours); includes working statutory holidays.

How will you create impact?
Providing quality care to clients and help in providing treatment programs which allow clients to be safe and improve their quality of life. You will act as a physiotherapy resource for other members of the health care team.

How will we help you grow?
Provide you with an orientation customized to meet your needs, and immediate support and access from excellent colleagues and the Physical Therapy Professional Practice Leader. Ongoing support and assistance to be provided. Library Services to support patient care, education and research. Educational opportunities, such as iLearns, in-house services, project assignments, etc.

Who are we looking for?
This position is suitable for a new grad or a seasoned therapist. We are seeking a Physiotherapist who works well within the team but also able to work independently with good people and communication skills. Ability to coach and educate clients. Willing to learn new skills.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license is required.
