Position Summary

Interior Health is seeking a flexible and reliable full time Registered Nurse to join their Primary Care Team in Williams Lake, B.C.! Are you an experienced Primary Health Care nurse who is self-directed and comfortable working autonomously? If so, we have an opportunity for you to make a difference in the lives of others in your community working in the primary care field.

As the Primary Health Care Nurse you are responsible for providing comprehensive and coordinated nursing care to clients in a primary health care, community or patient home setting through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care delivery. The Primary Health Care Nurse assists individuals to achieve safe, realistic and reasonable healthcare goals and to maintain optimal health through the provision of information/health promotion, disease prevention and treatment/care
management services.

This position is a virtual position that would encompass working at home. (equipment included)

Responsible for the direct Patient Care including: To support overall patient care:
– Responsible for Patient Follows up after a Physician visit
– Supportive role to check patient results and adding it into the chart
– Fielding medical questions and deciding on an appropriate course of action
– Patient triage and (intake questionnaire)

**This is a Permanent Full Time position**

Shift times are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00

Education, Training and Experience:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
• Advance clinical skills training in the assigned practice area.
• Three years recent related clinical nursing experience in the assigned practice area, including experience developing and providing formal education to clients, families, the general public, and other health professionals; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current valid BC Driver’s License.
