Position Summary

Join our amazing and caring Mental Health team in Cranbrook, BC.

This a community based position which supports Acute care and MHSU community sites with nursing support for clients needing support with Substance Use treatment and/or referral to OAT clinics”

As the MHSU Nurse, you will ensure that persons with serious severe and persistent mental health problems and/or problematic substance use who may or may not be in crisis have access to timely, responsive, evidence-based treatment. You will provide assessment, treatment, case management, community support, and as required, urgent response to clients who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life. Functioning as the primary clinician, you will utilize a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.

Located in the southeastern Rocky Mountain region of British Columbia, Cranbrook is the largest city in East Kootenays. Qualifications

Graduation from an approved school of nursing. Two years’ recent related Mental Health Substance Use experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
