Position Summary

The Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) inpatient telemetry and medical cardiology unit has a relief part time (0.65 FTE) opportunity, this relief is until January 19, 2022 or return of the incumbent. This unit offers an amazing, supportive, team environment.

There are 28 beds, 18 of which are monitored telemetry and 10 are acute medical. Very fast paced, very high acuity! Come be a part of the excitement!

RNs work rotating days (07:00 to 19:00) or nights (19:00 to 07:00) hours.

The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Successful completion of a recognized Basic Cardiac Course (which includes telemetry) within the last six (6) months or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

BCLS within 3 years
