As a member of our surgical nursing team you will work collaboratively to provide pre and post-surgical care nursing care for cardiac surgery patients.

The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.

Nursing shifts are 12 hours rotating days and night, 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00. This is a relief full-time position available until approximately March 31, 2023 or return of the incumbent. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits plan.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Successful completion of a recognized Basic Cardiac Course (which includes telemetry) within the last six (6) months or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

BCLS within 3 years

**Previous experience in a cardiac surgical unit would be preferred.
