Position Summary

If you are a self-directed, motivated, reliable and flexible Registered Nurse who enjoys working in a team environment and has a strong desire to learn and progress into emergency nursing, apply today to come join our team at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Level 7 Acute Medical, Rehab and Palliative Care unit.

Our Acute medical unit has 28 beds with a focus on acute medicine, rehabilitation, and palliative care. Our cohesive team of RNs and LPNs work collaboratively with a wider inter-professional network of Physicians, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Rehab Assistants and Palliative Care Network to deliver safe and compassionate nursing care and support to patients and their caregivers during their hospital stay and transition to home. We offer the opportunity to develop experience, knowledge and skills in various aspects of medical recovery, rehabilitation and end-of-life care.

This is a relief full time opportunity until January 7, 2022 or return of the incumbent. Nursing shifts are 07:00 to 19:00 or 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

*Palliative education or experience is an asset.
