Position Summary

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.

The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse provides: nursing care to psychiatric patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team; enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers; demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice; maintains and advances own clinical competence; participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.

This is a relief full time opportunity. Shifts of work are rotating days and nights; 07:30 to 19:45, 19:30 to 07:45

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved school of nursing.

Two years’ recent related experience in a mental health and addictions environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNM).
