Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) Injectable Opioid Agonist Treatment (iOAT) team in Kelowna.
This position will support iOAT (injectable opioid agonist treatment) services in Kelowna. iOAT is an evidence based treatment intervention for people with severe opioid use disorder (OUD) who have been refractory to treatment with oral opioid agonist therapy (OAT). Injectable treatment has been demonstrated to have increased retention to care, decrease in illicit opioid use, and increased quality of life. It is part of the continuum of care when treating people with OUD.

Shifts are rotating days from 08:00 – 20:00.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved school of nursing.

Two years’ recent related Mental Health Substance Use experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
